How Much Do Hanex Worktops Cost? UK Prices & What Affects the Price

Hanex worktops are priced per project. Use our extras checklist to make sure your first quote is close to the final price.

If children eat at the island, skip the high-contrast dark matt that shows every fingerprint and choose a forgiving pale instead. Kitchen Worktops Plus is written for family kitchens — homework at the peninsula, a farmhouse sink, and a surface that should still look decent on a Monday morning.

Hanex worktops are quoted per project, because each kitchen is templated, fabricated and finished to its own size and layout. Your Hanex worktop cost depends on the colour you choose, the amount of worktop needed, how many joints and cut-outs there are, the extras you add, such as an integrated sink or splashbacks, and whether we supply and fit. Send us your measurements and we will price your kitchen accurately.

In this guide we explain how Hanex pricing works and give you a checklist of the details that shape your quote.

Why Hanex worktops don’t have a fixed price

Hanex is a solid surface material. It is fabricated for each kitchen: sheets are cut to size, joined so that seams are very discreet, shaped at the edges and polished. The fabrication and fitting involved vary a great deal from one kitchen to another, so a fixed price per length or per square metre would not reflect what you are actually buying.

By quoting per project, we can show the cost of your actual layout and the options you choose, rather than a generic figure.

Colour

Hanex comes in a range of plain, speckled and patterned colours, and colours can be priced at different levels. If you are torn between a few, ask us to price them all.

Size and layout

The total length and depth of worktop is the starting point. A straight run is simplest; L-shapes, U-shapes, islands and breakfast bars use more material and usually need more joints.

Thickness and edges

The edge thickness you want to see and the edge profile both affect fabrication. Square edges are usually quickest to produce and finish.

Joints

Solid surface joints are bonded and polished to be very hard to spot. Each one takes skilled time, so the number of joints has a direct effect on the price.

Templating, delivery and installation

We template your kitchen once units are fitted and level, then fabricate, deliver and install the worktops. Access can affect the job, so let us know about stairs, flats, narrow hallways or parking restrictions.

Extras checklist: what to include in your Hanex quote

Many of the decisions that change the final price are extras. Going through this list before you ask for a quote means your first price will be much closer to the final one.

  • Sink type: a standard sink, or an integrated solid surface sink bonded into the worktop for a seamless look. Integrated sinks cost more.
  • Drainer grooves: routed into the worktop next to the sink. Optional, and priced as an extra.
  • Hob cut-out: hob type and size, so the cut-out follows the manufacturer’s installation guidance.
  • Other cut-outs: for example, a separate tap hole.
  • Upstands: matching upstands along the back of the worktop.
  • Splashbacks: a matching splashback behind the hob or sink, or a full-height splashback.
  • Island or breakfast bar: including any overhang for seating.
  • Edge profile: square or a more detailed profile.
  • Removal: taking out your old worktops.
  • Plumbing: disconnecting and reconnecting your sink and taps.

Supply only vs supply and fit

We supply Hanex and also template, fabricate and install across the UK.

Supply only is aimed at trade customers and fabricators who have the tools and experience to work with solid surface.

Supply and fit covers the complete job, from measurement to installation. For most homeowners this is the better choice, because joining and finishing solid surface is skilled work and you have one team responsible for the result.

How to keep your Hanex budget in check

  • Price colours side by side. It is the simplest way to see how colour affects the total.
  • Prioritise your extras. Use the checklist above to decide which features matter most.
  • Reduce joints where possible. Ask us about joint positions; small layout changes can help.
  • Be ready for templating. Units fitted and level before we measure avoids extra visits.
  • Think about long-term value. Solid surface can usually be repaired and repolished rather than replaced.

Hanex worktop cost: frequently asked questions

Do you publish Hanex prices?

No. Hanex worktops are made to measure, so we quote each project based on your layout and choices.

Is an integrated Hanex sink worth it?

An integrated sink gives a seamless finish with no rim to clean around, but it costs more than a standard sink. We can price both so you can compare.

Can I install Hanex worktops myself?

Solid surface needs specialist tools and experience to join and finish properly, so we recommend professional fabrication and installation. Our team can handle the whole job.

Can Hanex worktops be repaired?

Solid surface can usually be repaired and repolished. See our repair and repolish service; a standard solid surface repolish is £350 + VAT.

Can I order a sample?

Yes. Order a free sample to check the colour in your own kitchen.
